The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
